ABOUT IVY HILL FARM

BECAUSE MOTHER NATURE KNOWS BEST

Our mission at Ivy Hill Farm is to help people connect with nature through meaningful experiences that promote mental and emotional wellbeing.

Our goal is to offer low and no-cost access to safe, effective, and professionally facilitated animal therapy for individuals, communities, and organizations in need.

We offer non-clinical Animal Assisted Therapy and experiences to small groups, schools, small businesses, and corporations while also providing local pet services and petting zoo experiences.

We are a non-profit 5013c business and all proceeds from our services go directly to growing our farm and supporting our mission. Owned and operated by a first-generation, female farmer with a background in equestrian sports and education in Psychology.

Ivy Hill Farm does not look like your average farm. Built on seven acres of hillside located a stones throw from East Washacum Pond, we aim to create a regional or state park environment that’s emerged in woodland and teeming with wildlife. As we strive for harmony with nature, our farm is designed to play an active and beneficial role in our ecosystem.

Today, there are many different buzzwords to describe farming practices including “sustainable,” “regenerative,” “biodynamic,” and “holistic,” that all share the same goals—To improve, participate, or contribute positively to the ecosystem in which agriculture occupies and, most importantly, to support the environment, planet, and food resources for the future.

Our animals rotationally graze the land, creating a highly dynamic environment for animals and people alike, called silvo-pasture—A sanctuary for immersing yourself for reconnecting with Nature.

We believe that all creatures have a role to play in this world. We slowly & consciously carve out space for our animals in ways that allow for them to live a more natural life without displacing the wildlife that resides here.
